Job summary

Finom is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer (Central Data) to evolve the central data model, build pipelines and semantic layers, and enable AI-driven data solutions across the business. You will collaborate with business functions to translate processes into scalable data products and insights, using LLMs where advantageous.

You will own data quality, onboarding of new sources, and integration with internal AI tools, while reporting to the Head of Central Data.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL with dimensional/semantic modelling.
• Proficient Python with tests and version control.
• Experience building metrics and semantic layers.
• ETL experience with data warehouses or lakehouses, onboarding sources end-to-end.
• Hands-on use of LLMs in production data work (classification, extraction, translation, or agents).
• Consultant mindset: translate processes to business value.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve entities, metrics and data products with tests, lineage and docs.
• Build and maintain pipelines; onboard new data sources and manage CI/CD and data quality checks.
• Interview stakeholders to map processes and tie data work to business value and cost.
• Support recurring reporting, regulatory and audit cycles, data requests and reconciliations.
• Incorporate LLM steps into reporting and metric pipelines; evaluate output quality.
• Expose semantic layer to internal tools and agents via MCP and APIs; align with engineering standards.
• Prepare data for agentic tools and AI harnesses across the company.
