Job summary

Nexus Life Sciences in Skipton, United Kingdom, seeks an Analytical Development Manager to provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the analytical development team. You will mentor staff, drive efficient method development programs, and support business development and client inquiries.

The role requires extensive experience in chromatographic method development within regulated labs, with strong knowledge of ICH/USP/EP guidelines and a track record of delivering complex programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in method development within a regulated analytical laboratory environment.
• Extensive expertise in analytical method development, optimization, and validation with chromatographic techniques.
• Strong knowledge of ICH, USP, EP, and other regulatory guidance related to analytical method validation.
• Proven ability to design, lead, and deliver complex analytical development programs in regulated environments.
• Experience mentoring and coaching team members to support technical competency and career development.
• Commercial acumen with experience in supporting quotations and technical proposals.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical lead and SME for method development and validation activities.
• Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to the Analytical Development team.
• Develop and implement best practices for efficient method development projects.
• Drive the profitability and performance of the Analytical Development team.
• Manage relationships with third-party outsource companies.
• Support scientific marketing and business development activities.
• Oversee scheduling, prioritization, and delivery of projects to meet client expectations, quality standards, and commercial objectives.
• Write and review technical documents, including test methods, validation protocols, and reports.
• Provide scientific consultancy to support commercial sales activities and client acquisition.
