Job summary

The Analytical Development Manager at Broughton Group will act as SME for method development and validation, guiding the team with expert analytical chemistry skills and advanced problem solving.

You will organise workload, ensure efficient use of resources, drive profitability, mentor scientists, and lead collaborations with external partners, while aligning with client expectations and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in analytical method development and validation.
• Expertise in GC-MS and/or LC-MS.
• Experience authoring regulatory submissions.
• Proven technical writing and communications ability.
• Experience mentoring and coaching team members.
• Knowledge of ICH, USP, EP guidance on method validation.
• Experience managing KPIs, resource forecasting and capacity planning.
• Min. 8 years in analytical method development.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical lead/ SME for method development and validation.
• Provide training and guidance for the analytical development team.
• Develop best practices for method development with commercial acumen.
• Develop business case justification for investment in new technologies.
• Support scientific marketing and business development activities.
• Manage relationships with 3rd party outsource companies.
• Set technical direction and ensure delivery to timelines.
• Write/review technical documents and perform data analyses.
• Mentor and coach the team, arranging development.
