Job summary

Nexus Life Sciences in Skipton, United Kingdom, is seeking an Analytical Development Manager to lead and mentor the analytical development team, guiding method development, validation, and regulatory compliance.

You will drive project delivery, sponsor process improvements, and collaborate with clients and CRO partners to ensure high-quality results, on-time delivery, and commercial success. A PhD is desirable and extensive chromatography expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Chemistry, or Analytical Chemistry; PhD desirable.
• 8+ years of method development experience in a regulated analytical lab.
• Extensive expertise in analytical method development, optimization and validation with chromatographic techniques.
• Strong knowledge of ICH, USP, EP and other regulatory guidance related to analytical method validation.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex analytical development programs in regulated environments.
• Experience mentoring and coaching team members for technical growth.
• Commercial acumen with experience supporting quotations and technical proposals.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead and SME for method development and validation activities.
• Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to the Analytical Development team.
• Develop and implement best practices for efficient method development projects.
• Drive profitability and performance of the Analytical Development team.
• Manage relationships with third-party outsource companies.
• Support scientific marketing and business development activities.
• Oversee scheduling, prioritization and delivery of projects to meet client expectations and quality standards.
• Write and review technical documents including test methods, validation protocols, and reports.
• Provide scientific consultancy to support commercial sales activities and client acquisition.
