Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Associate Director or Technical Director to join its UK Air Quality team. The role focuses on delivering complex air quality projects, developing client relationships, and driving growth across infrastructure, development, transport, energy, industry and government sectors.

The successful candidate will combine technical excellence with commercial awareness, mentoring colleagues and shaping WSP's air quality capabilities across the UK and internationally.

Qualifications

• Degree (BSc or above) in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Strong technical expertise in one or more air quality disciplines and national recognition in a specialist area.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex air quality projects and programmes.
• Provide technical direction across air quality assessments, modelling, emissions inventories and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Mentor and develop colleagues across the Air Quality team.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and project teams to secure involvement in major projects.
• Lead or contribute to major bids, framework submissions and proposals.
