Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Associate Director or Technical Director to join our Air Quality team in the UK. You will deliver complex air quality projects, develop client relationships and help grow our business, working across infrastructure, development, transport, energy, and government sectors.

This role requires technical leadership, QA/QC governance, and a track record of winning bids.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered status with an appropriate professional institution is desirable.
• Experience managing and delivering complex technical projects.
• Strong client relationship management and business development experience.
• Proven capability in leading bids, proposals and tenders.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex air quality projects and programmes.
• Provide technical direction across air quality assessments, modelling, emissions inventories and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Act as technical reviewer and trusted adviser on challenging commissions.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures and governance standards are applied.
• Drive technical innovation and development of new capabilities.
• Mentor and develop colleagues within the Air Quality team.
• Build relationships with internal clients and project teams to secure involvement in major projects.
• Lead or contribute to bids, framework submissions and proposals.
