WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks an experienced Associate Director or Technical Director to join our Air Quality team. You will lead complex projects, provide technical direction, and drive growth across infrastructure, development, transport, energy, and government sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Chartered status with a relevant institution.
• Experience delivering complex air quality projects.
• Strong QA/QC knowledge.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and win new business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex air quality projects and programmes.
• Provide technical direction across air quality assessments, modelling, emissions inventories and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Act as a technical reviewer and trusted advisor on technically challenging commissions.
• Ensure the consistent application of QA/QC procedures and governance standards.
• Drive technical innovation and development of new capabilities, tools and approaches.
• Mentor and develop colleagues across the Air Quality team.
• Build strong relationships with internal clients and project teams to identify collaboration opportunities and secure involvement in major infrastructure and development projects.
• Lead or contribute to major bids, framework submissions and proposals.
• Represent WSP professionally in client meetings, workshops and industry events.
• Maintain an external network of clients and industry contacts.
