Job summary

WSP UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Associate Director or Technical Director to lead the air quality team. You will deliver complex projects, build client relationships, and contribute to growth across infrastructure, transport, energy and government sectors.

The role blends technical leadership with commercial focus, requiring Chartered status or equivalent and a track record of winning major bids. Hybrid working and professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related scientific discipline with strong air quality expertise.
• Experience managing and delivering complex technical projects.
• Strong QA/QC understanding and client relationship experience.
• Track record of winning bids and growing accounts.
• Excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex air quality projects and programmes.
• Provide technical direction across assessments, modelling, inventories and multidisciplinary work.
• Act as a technical reviewer and trusted advisor on challenging commissions.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures and governance standards are applied.
• Mentor colleagues and drive new capabilities and tools.
