Job summary

Nexperia in Manchester is seeking a Senior Application Engineer who is passionate about AI infrastructure and data centre power systems. You will help design high‑reliability power protection for AI servers and hyperscale deployments, shaping next‑gen 48V distribution architectures.

You will work with global sales teams, create reference models and demo boards, and travel internationally to key technology hubs. A degree in electronics or physics and strong circuit simulation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Experience with AI infrastructure or data centre power systems is preferred.
• Strong circuit simulation and PCB design skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Design, debug and validate hot-swap protection for high-density rack systems.
• Characterise MOSFET SOA and perform thermal validation.
• Create demo boards, reference models, and technical literature for 48V systems.
• Define product specs from customer input and market trends.
• Provide expert support to global sales teams and customers.
