Job summary
Nexperia in Manchester is seeking an Automotive Application Engineer to collaborate with our R&D teams, learn from experienced engineers, and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge power semiconductor technologies.
You will support automotive OEMs and Tier suppliers, engage with customers, run tests, develop demo boards and design-in tools, and travel internationally as projects evolve. Excellent communication and a hands-on approach are essential.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Solid foundation in power electronics.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Excellent communication for customer support.
Responsibilities
- Supporting automotive OEMs and Tier suppliers to understand applications and requirements.
- Supporting customer projects through product selection, evaluation, proof-of-concept and design-in.
- Taking part in customer visits, workshops, demonstrations and training with international travel.
- Performing hands-on testing and benchmarking of power semiconductor products in automotive applications.
- Analysing test results and translating them into technical recommendations.
- Developing demo boards, simulations, application notes and design-in tools.
