Job summary

Plum Fintech is seeking an experienced AI Platform Engineer to design and scale our AI-enabled infrastructure. You will own backend systems and internal tooling that power AI-powered products across multiple squads.

You will work on LLM-based workflows, agentic architectures, and guardrails, with a focus on reliability, cost efficiency, and developer experience. Hybrid work with London offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software/Backend/Platform Engineering experience
• Experience building AI-powered applications and services
• Knowledge of AI concepts: LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering and AI guardrails

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain a scalable AI Platform
• Develop internal frameworks and services used by multiple squads
• Promote best practices around prompt engineering and AI guardrails
• Ensure platform reliability, observability and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with product & engineering teams to meet needs
