Job summary

Plum Fintech is building a proactive money platform and is seeking an experienced AI Platform engineer in London who will design scalable infrastructure and tooling for AI-powered products across the organization.

You will own foundations, contribute to internal frameworks, and ensure reliability, observability, and cost efficiency while collaborating with multiple engineering teams. The role supports hybrid work with office presence encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software/Backend/Platform Engineering.
• Experience building backend systems and distributed services in production.
• Designing developer platforms and internal tooling for multiple squads.
• Hands‑on experience with AI-powered apps using modern LLM frameworks and agentic architectures.
• Knowledge of LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, AI guardrails and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with ADK, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI or similar.
• Cloud platforms such as GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure.
• Strong focus on reliability, observability, monitoring and incident management.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a scalable AI Platform used across the organization.
• Develop internal frameworks, libraries, and services for multiple product squads.
• Promote best practices around prompt engineering, guardrails, and evaluation methodologies.
• Build platform capabilities to safely deploy, monitor, and iterate AI-powered apps.
• Configure tracing, monitoring, observability, and incident management for platform reliability.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Enhance developer experience and drive platform adoption.
