Job summary

BP plc is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable AI-powered applications. You will own full lifecycle from ideation to deployment, using CI/CD, testing, and observability in a cloud-native stack. The role emphasizes pragmatic AI, foundation platforms, and reusable tools for enterprise use.

You will collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and other engineers to ensure reliable AI products while staying current with emerging AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven professional software engineering experience in production systems.
• Strong programming in Python or Java with backend/microservices work.
• Experience integrating ML models into production (LLMs, embeddings, RAG).
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to move quickly while maintaining code quality and tests.
