Plum is building a proactive money platform to help people grow their money. We design and maintain a scalable AI Platform, internal frameworks, and services used by multiple product squads, focusing on prompt engineering, guardrails, and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software/Backend/Platform engineering.
• Experience building backend systems and distributed services in production.
• Experience designing developer platforms or internal tooling for multiple squads.
• Hands-on with AI-powered apps and modern LLM frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure acceptable).
• Strong understanding of reliability, observability, and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a robust AI Platform for organization initiatives.
• Develop internal frameworks, libraries, and services used by multiple product squads.
• Establish best practices around prompt engineering, guardrails, and evaluation methodologies.
• Build platform capabilities for safe deployment, monitoring, and iteration of AI apps.
• Configure tracing, monitoring, and incident management for platform reliability.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to deliver scalable platform solutions.
• Improve developer experience and platform adoption across the organization.
