Edmund Optics is seeking a Senior E-commerce Backend Engineer: AI Native to design, build, and extend backend services powering a modular e-commerce platform. You will integrate personalization, semantic search, DAM, PIM, and SAP/HANA systems while applying AI-driven development practices.

The role requires strong backend fundamentals, systems integration experience, and a proactive, collaborative mindset in a fast-paced AI-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Experience with SAP and SAP HANA data/integration patterns.
• Fluency in English and ability to work effectively in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and extend backend services and APIs for a modular e-commerce platform.
• Lead AI-native development initiatives and validate AI-generated code for quality and security.
• Integrate personalization, semantic search, DAM, and PIM with ERP/ SAP/HANA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, reliable system integrations.
