Job summary

Kainos is hiring a Senior Data Scientist for our Workday Products division in Belfast. You will develop high-quality AI/ML solutions for a growing suite of Workday offerings, including Smart Test, Smart Audit and Smart Shield, improving performance and reliability.

You may take on line management duties for junior staff and collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models in production, using Python, ML frameworks, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Typically 4-5 years of relevant industry experience, or less with a related PhD.
• Proficient in applying math, stats, and ML to derive insights.
• Proficient in Python with production-grade code.
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience deploying AI/ML models to production with engineering teams.
• Experience with generative AI use cases and large language models.
• Basic experience with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience creating dashboards using Dash or Streamlit to communicate findings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead client projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver AI/ML solutions enhancing functionality, scalability and efficiency.
• Possibly provide line management responsibilities for junior team members.
