Job summary

Kainos in the United Kingdom is seeking a Lead Data Scientist for its Workday Products division. You will design and deliver advanced AI/ML solutions to enhance the Workday product suite, focusing on predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and intelligent automation.

You will mentor the team, collaborate with customers, and provide strategic technical leadership, including building scalable pipelines, CI/CD, and production-grade systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience or a relevant PhD combined with 4-5 years of industry experience.
• Strong statistics, machine learning, and AI techniques to solve business problems.
• Proficient Python with production-grade code for scalable AI/ML solutions.
• Experience with ML frameworks and scalable design; guide teams in tool usage.
• CI/CD, MLOps, model versioning, monitoring; production pipelines integration with enterprise systems.
• Generative AI use cases and LLMs for conversational AI, summarisation, content creation.
• Experience containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for cloud-native systems.
• Data engineering and pipelines that feed production environments.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and cloud-native AI tools (SageMaker, Vertex AI, Azure ML).
• Interactive dashboards and visual analytics using Streamlit, Plotly, Dash, or D3.js.
• Leadership, mentoring, and formal line management with performance appraisals.
• Strong client engagement skills and translating business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities
