Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Glasgow is seeking an Applied AI ML Lead - VP to translate business problems into scalable, production‑grade AI solutions. You will guide senior stakeholders, establish guardrails for Responsible AI, and mentor engineers while advancing GenAI initiatives in a secure, scalable environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and expert applied experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices (testing, design patterns, code review, version control).
• Fluent with AI coding tools and day‑to‑day software development.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end delivery of priority IPB AI/ML use cases with measurable impact.
• Leads engineering build of agentic AI and LLM-powered products for IPB advisors and clients.
• Sets engineering quality bar through code reviews, design, and pairing with peers and junior engineers.
• Establishes and operates Responsible AI controls in production (guardrails, observability, model risk controls).
• Acts as primary technical partner to IPB business stakeholders and shapes funded workstreams.
• Represents AIML in governance forums; ensures cross-border, regulatory, and data-privacy considerations are reflected.
• Contributes to GenAI education programme through training content and mentoring.
• Champions diversity, inclusion, and respect.
