Job summary

ASOS is seeking a Senior Engineering Lead to build and lead the AI engineering team for FinTech and Fashion Tech. This role combines hands-on coding with people leadership, guiding production-grade agentic AI and automation that power Finance and Merchandising operations.

You will own delivery end-to-end, set technical standards, and collaborate with the central AI team to align on policy and tooling while driving measurable business benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience line managing engineers with hands-on delivery.
• Proven ability to set technical direction and engineering standards.
• Ownership of delivery planning, prioritisation and reporting to stakeholders.
• Comfortable working within a central policy framework and opposing when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow AI engineering team, including hiring and performance management.
• Define technical direction, architecture and reusable patterns for the team.
• Build and ship production-ready agentic AI and automation solutions.
• Own end-to-end delivery and production support, including monitoring and incident response.
• Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, Buying and Merchandising to identify automation opportunities.
