Job summary

CoMind Technologies Limited is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build the platform that converts raw neuro-signals into longitudinal patient insights. You will join the CoVision project to develop an on-device LLM system for neuromonitoring, ensuring reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance across a deployed fleet.

You will work in a hybrid setting with at least four days in our Kings Cross offices and one flexible work-from-home day, collaborating with hardware, product, and clinical

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering.
• Strong in C++, with Python also used.
• Practical experience using LLMs as an applied tool: prompting, guardrails, RAG, evaluation, and reasoning about model behaviour.
• Built or extended a model and integrated it into a real product touching users.
• Experience integrating third-party libraries or components into larger systems.
• Comfortable reasoning about latency, memory and throughput on constrained hardware.
• Strong with Git and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• AI Integration: integrate an on-device LLM into the CoMind One system and connect to live signals.
• Model Evaluation & Reliability: measure and ensure correct, safe outputs for bedside use.
• Systems Performance: optimise inference on constrained on-device hardware.
• Medical Device Software Development: design and develop software to IEC 62304 and ISO 14971.
• Compliance & Cybersecurity: meet regulatory standards including FDA guidance for AI/ML devices.
• Reliability & Collaboration: maintain fleet reliability with cross-team collaboration.
