Job summary

Elsevier B.V. is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to partner with business and technology teams to identify AI innovation opportunities across Salesforce platforms (Agentforce, Data Cloud, MCP) and adjacent AI tooling.

You will translate business needs into detailed requirements, create user stories, and facilitate workshops to prioritise AI-enabled improvements. You will document as-is processes, design to-be workflows, ensure data readiness, and communicate trade-offs while supporting change

Qualifications

Proven experience in process modelling (BPMN) and translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud) and exposure to Agentforce and Data Cloud.
Working familiarity with AI/agentic concepts—prompt engineering, RAG, tool calling, MCP.
Understanding of data architecture fundamentals relevant to grounding AI agents in trustworthy data.
Solid understanding of software development methodologies and how AI components fit SDLC.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities where AI agents, automation, and data unification reduce friction or cost.
Document current-state and design future-state processes incorporating Salesforce Agentforce, Data Cloud, MCP integrations.
Gather requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for AI agent workflows including guardrails and human-in-the-loop checks.
Assess data readiness and partner with data engineering for Data 360.
Plan workshops to scope use cases, feasibility, and stakeholder alignment.
Collaborate with Salesforce, data engineers, and AI/ML engineers to produce detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
