Job summary

Moneybox is hiring a Senior AI Deployment Engineer in London. You will lead AI-driven production systems, focusing on deploying AI safely, with Python at the core and minimal ML model training.

You will work across departments to deliver AI-enabled business processes, build pipelines, and ensure robust evals, guardrails and cost controls. The role is production software engineering with AI at its core, reporting to the Head of AI Platforms & Deployment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with production ownership.
• Has built and shipped LLM-powered systems that ran in production.
• Production-grade Python as your primary language.
• LLM-powered systems in production: experience with APIs, harnesses, orchestration, RAG and context engineering.
• Evals and quality: designing evaluation sets and measuring accuracy, recall and precision for LLM steps.
• Safety and guardrails in practice: PII handling, data-boundary discipline, prompt-injection awareness.
• Cost and performance optimisation: model selection, caching, latency budgets.
• Deployment and operations: CI/CD, containerisation, monitoring for AI workloads.
• Data processing fundamentals: pipelines, transformation, validation.
• Customer- or stakeholder-facing delivery experience: forward-deployed engineering or solutions engineering.
• Experience deploying models built by a data science team into customer-facing production systems.
• Experience with Azure and/or .NET.

Responsibilities

• Own engagement delivery end to end: scope with the department, design, build, deploy and handover.
• Engineer AI solutions properly: pipelines, LLM API integration, evals, guardrails and cost/accuracy optimisations.
• Graduate tools into business systems: convert tools into owned business systems with full SDLC.
• Deploy ML-built components into production: integration with Moneybox platform and Decisioning/Data Science teams.
• Build reusable capability: create shared tooling, templates and self-serve workflows.
• Raise the bar by collaborating with embedded specialists during ramp-up.
