AWE in Reading region is seeking a Senior AI-Assisted Software Engineer to own the delivery of secure, high‑quality software using AI-enabled development techniques. You will translate business requirements into robust applications and mentor juniors within the AI Capability Development team.
The role requires working primarily on site with flexible patterns, a 9‑day fortnight, and a focus on safety, security, and governance in AI.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 3–5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Track record of using modern development practices and tools.
- Strong software development skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver robust software solutions from design through release, using AI-assisted tools.
- Maintain security, scalability, and compliance in outputs.
- Pilot and integrate new AI-assisted engineering tools and methodologies.
- Mentor junior developers in AI-assisted development and code craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration.
