Job summary

LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions (LNIP) is seeking an AI Architect to lead the architecture of Protégé within PatentSight+. You will shape the AI stack from agentic layer up, ensuring coherence, scalability, security, and compliance with RELX Responsible AI standards.

You will collaborate with Engineering Leads, Product Managers, and Data Scientists to deliver architecture decisions, ADRs, and robust design docs guiding production LLM systems and search pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering expertise with AI/ML architecture background.
• Proven track record delivering production LLM-based systems and multi-step reasoning.
• Experience in enterprise microservice integration and scalable AI platforms.
• Ability to design auditable, secure, and cost-governed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the AI architecture vision for Protégé in PatentSight+.
• Evaluate AI technologies, modelling approaches, and platform components.
• Stay current with agentic AI advances and translate to architecture decisions.
• Author ADRs and design docs documenting rationale and decisions.
• Architect agentic reasoning to decompose complex patent questions.
• Design retrieval and search architectures for patent data across sources.
• Define patterns for AI-driven enrichment and classification at scale.
• Establish prompt engineering standards and evaluation harnesses.
