Job summary

Randstad Construction & Property is seeking a Senior Agent for a major highways and infrastructure project in Norfolk. The role involves leading engineering teams and guiding site delivery from pre-construction through handover, ensuring safety, quality, and budget adherence.

The successful candidate will have 7+ years in civil/highways projects, 3+ years in site management, and hold a Civil Engineering degree with CSCS and SMSTS certifications. Hybrid working during design phases is available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in civil engineering/highways delivery
• 3+ years in a site management capacity (Agent, Sub-Agent, or Senior Agent)
• Proven background in a Principal Contractor environment on major civils or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, contract conditions, and temporary works management
• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• CSCS card and SMSTS (or equivalent H&S qualification)

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership from pre-construction planning through to site delivery and handover.
• Lead site operations with the Works Superintendent, managing engineering teams and subcontractors to deliver safely, to spec, on programme, and within budget.
• Champion safety-first culture and drive a Right First Time quality standard across disciplines.
• Oversee RAMS, ITPs, and Temporary Works procedures.
• Monitor progress, review programmes, track productivity, and control site costs.
• Oversee on-site surveys, investigations, and resource procurement for seamless delivery.
