Placements24 client, a pioneering aerospace technology firm, seeks a Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer to lead system engineering lifecycle, from concept to validation, in a hybrid Randburg-based role. You will define requirements, architecture, and oversee integration of subsystems, while mentoring engineers and producing detailed documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in a related field, 10+ years in aerospace systems, MBSE/SysML proficiency, and the ability to work both

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in aerospace or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive aerospace systems engineering experience.
• Experience in system design, integration, testing and validation.
• Proficiency with MBSE and SysML.
• Eligible to work in South Africa and able to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the system engineering lifecycle for aerospace projects from concept development to final validation.
• Define system requirements, architecture and design specifications for complex aerospace systems.
• Oversee integration of subsystems and components for seamless functionality.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for system validation; analyze performance data.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports and presentations.
