Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Aerospace Project Manager to lead complex programs from concept to completion. The role combines on-site collaboration with remote work in a hybrid model, supporting Randburg-regulated projects in the aerospace sector.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and resources while guiding cross-functional teams to ensure safe, compliant, on-time delivery of high-quality products and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace/related field is required; PMP is desirable.
• 8+ years progressive project management experience, 5+ in aerospace/defense.
• Proven track record managing complex aerospace projects end-to-end.
• Strong understanding of aerospace engineering, manufacturing processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies; familiarity with MS Project/Jira.

Responsibilities

• Lead aerospace projects from inception to delivery on time and within budget.
• Create detailed project plans with milestones, tasks, resources, and risk plans.
• Oversee execution, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage budgets and expenditures to meet financial objectives.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and QA teams.
• Act as primary liaison for stakeholders, providing regular status updates.
• Identify risks, develop contingency plans, and manage change control.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve results.
• Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned.
