Job summary

North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a band 8a ACP to lead the Warrington Urgent Community Response team. You will model professional leadership, deploy advanced clinical skills and drive autonomous clinical practice to deliver timely, patient-centred care and improve patient flow across the community and wider health economy.

The post requires flexible working, including some weekends, with a mix of clinical and management responsibilities (minimum 80/20).

Qualifications

• Understanding of the principles of complex patient management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; including negotiation, influencing and presentation.
• Risk assessment and management skills.
• Report writing skills; Ability to undertake risk reports e.g. 72-hour reviews and Root Cause Analysis reports.

Responsibilities

• To ensure that the highest standards of care are provided and monitored across the borough.
• Act as a credible role model with a minimum of 80/20 clinical/management time and weekend work as required.
• To ensure professional advice is provided to all nursing, therapy, and support staff.
• Facilitate and support effective working relationships with the multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient care.
• Develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based practice e.g. sepsis management and advanced clinical practice.
• Lead on development of clinical guidelines, policies, and clinical audit as part of quality improvement.
• Support staff in identifying, applying, and disseminating research findings related to specialist and fundamental nursing practice.
