Job Description:

We are collaborating with a leading construction company in Newcastle that has an opening for a Senior Admin Assistant in a permanent role.

This position provides essential administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations within the company. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality service and maintaining efficiency across the organization. The role reports directly to the Financial Controller and involves supporting the admin team.

  • Handling phone calls and emails professionally and efficiently
  • Raising jobs, purchase orders, and work orders
  • Monitoring and following up on outstanding purchase and work orders
  • Scheduling and monitoring labor resources using our job management system
  • Communicating with labor force, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Managing office supplies and consumables
  • Overseeing the maintenance of company transportation
  • Being the first point of contact for visitors and managing sign-in/out records
  • Coordinating meeting room bookings and refreshments
  • Taking minutes during meetings and supporting administrative tasks for the Management Team
  • Monitoring site-related stock levels, ordering supplies, and conducting stock takes
  • Monitoring the vetting matrix
  • Collaborating with the Senior Accounts Assistant on developing company policies and procedures

Salary ranges from £27,500 to £30,000 for a 39.5-hour week (Monday-Thursday 7:30-16:30, Friday 7:30-16:00, with a 1-hour break). Please note this is an office-based role.
