Job summary

Aston Education Ltd. is seeking an Additional Learning Support (ALS) Manager to join a Sixth Form College near Victoria station in Central London.

The role focuses on leading SEN/ALS provision and inclusion across the college for 16-19-year-olds and Apprenticeships. You will coordinate with external agencies, parents and carers; manage EHCPs and annual reviews; create learner passports for reasonable adjustments; and ensure that exam access arrangements are organised.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior ALS position within a school/college.
• Pastoral and SEND experience with KS4, post 16 or adult learners.
• In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on continuous improvement of SEN/ALS provision and embedding an inclusive culture.
• Coordinate with external agencies, parents and carers; manage EHCPs and annual reviews.
• Create learner passports to implement reasonable adjustments for High Needs/ALN; organise exam access arrangements.
• Lead and supervise Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and support apprentices through assessment and guidance.
