Job summary

Aston Education Ltd is seeking an Additional Learning Support (ALS) Manager to join Sixth Form College near Victoria station in Central London. You will lead on improving SEN/ALS provision and ensure high-quality education for learners with additional needs.

You will coordinate with external agencies, parents and carers and manage consultations, EHCPs, and annual reviews, develop learner passports for reasonable adjustments, organise exam access arrangements, and support Learning Support

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a senior ALS position within a school/college.
• Degree level qualification in a relevant subject.
• Pastoral and SEND experience with KS4, post 16 or adult learners.
• Experience of leading the support of students with SEND, for instance as a SENCO or an ALS Coordinator or ALS Senior.
• In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Job: Additional Learning Support Manager

Location: Sixth Form College, near Victoria station, central London

Contract: Permanent, full-time, term time only, Monday to Friday 8:45am to 4:45pm. Occasional travel to Manchester.

Annual Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 (actual salary for 39 weeks)

Start date: ASAP /October 2026

The ALS Manager job

As an ALS Manager, you'll be leading on the continuous improvement of SEN/ALS provision, embedding an inclusive culture and ensuring the college provides a high-quality education to their learners with additional needs.
