Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Acute Medicine consultant to join a dynamic team in Leeds. The role covers AMU, SDEC and ED in-reach with a consultant-led model of care and a 1:10 out-of-hours rota.

The post supports ongoing development of the service within a teaching hospital environment. Applicants should hold MRCP (or equivalent) and be on the Specialist Register, or within 6 months of CCT at interview.

Qualifications

• MRCP or equivalent required.
• On Specialist Register or within 6 months of achieving CCT at interview stage.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-led care across Acute Medicine Units (AMU), SDEC and ED in-reach.
• Contribute to daily consultant reviews for inpatients and to the out-of-hours rota (currently 1:10).
• Support service development and quality improvement initiatives within a teaching hospital setting.
