Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Acute Medicine Consultant to join our expanding team at St James’s University Hospital in Leeds. You will work across AMU, SDEC, and ED in-reach, delivering a consultant-led service to patients with urgent and acute medical needs.

The post requires MRCP (or equivalent) and being on the Specialist Register, or within 6 months of CCT. The role includes a 1:10 out-of-hours rota and opportunities for development within a large teaching

Qualifications

• MRCP (or equivalent) and Specialist Register, or within 6 months of CCT.
• Broad experience in Acute and General Medicine.
• Excellent team-working skills and commitment to multidisciplinary working.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-led care across AMU, SDEC, and ED in-reach.
• Contribute to the out-of-hours rota (currently 1:10).
• Support trainee supervision and service development within a teaching hospital.
• Develop specialist interests within the job plan and utilise ultrasound skills.
