Job summary

MBDA UK Ltd in Stevenage is seeking an experienced testing engineer to lead and define testing strategies across the full lifecycle of our Actuation Systems.

The role focuses on building testing capability, performing component and full system tests, and delivering compliant evidence while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. You will influence testing directions and work within a dynamic hybrid on-site setup.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Technical leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of dynamic systems and testing (mechanical systems, motors, sensors).
• Knowledge of electric motors and drive/communication strategies to support testing.
• dSPACE proficient or equivalent.
• Experienced user of MATLAB & Simulink for data analysis.
• Experience with DOORS is desirable.
• Requirements generation to support testing campaigns.
• Technical documentation generation.
• Proven experience with process improvement and CI culture.
• Strong communicator capable of influencing and collaborating.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive testing strategies across the product lifecycle.
• Build testing capability across multiple projects and promote best practices.
• Lead component and full actuation system testing and analysis.
• Develop evidence to support compliance and product certification.
• Produce testing specifications and data analysis for fault diagnosis.
• Collaborate across multi-functional actuation teams to shape testing direction.
