Job summary

Howden is seeking a Senior Consulting Actuary to join the Insurance Actuarial & Longevity (IAL) team in the United Kingdom. You will work with a diverse client base on capital, risk and regulatory initiatives, delivering high-quality outcomes and helping to grow the practice.

You will lead client projects, develop risk-based capital models, and apply modern digital tools and techniques while mentoring junior colleagues and fostering strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Qualified Actuary status with at least three years' post-qualification experience in life insurer or consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of Solvency UK and related regulatory frameworks (Solvency II, Bermuda).
• Experience developing, reviewing or validating risk-based capital models and calibration methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver client projects across capital, risk and regulatory engagements.
• Support life insurance clients with capital modelling, validation and management activities.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business growth and thought leadership.
