Job summary

Lloyd's seeks a Senior Actuarial Associate in the Capital Oversight team to review syndicate capital models and provide independent challenge across the Lloyd's market. You will engage with senior stakeholders and help ensure capital is managed effectively across the market.

You will also support and coach analysts, present findings, and contribute to broader actuarial projects including work related to the Lloyd's Internal Model, while maintaining collaborative relationships across Lloyd's-wide

Qualifications

• Non-life insurance experience with exposure to capital modelling.
• Strong actuarial and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
• Experience delivering projects and managing priorities.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to challenge constructively.
• Proficiency in Excel; interest in R/VBA or similar analytical languages.
• Fellow or nearly Fellow of IAIF/IFOA (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Review syndicate capital models and submissions, identifying key risks and areas for challenge.
• Assess major model changes against Lloyd's and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct deep-dive reviews of syndicate internal models.
• Improve review tools, frameworks and processes.
• Support and develop analysts through coaching and technical guidance.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with managing agents and colleagues across Lloyd's.
• Contribute to wider actuarial projects, including work relating to the Lloyd's Internal Model.
