Job summary

Unum UK is seeking a Senior Actuarial Manager, Pricing, to lead central pricing bases and product terms for Group Income Protection, Life, Dependants and Critical Illness. You will own pricing reviews, conduct experience investigations, and report to senior governance groups, aligning pricing with risk appetite and commercial goals.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with post-qualification experience in life, health or protection insurance is expected.
• Strong pricing experience with ability to review assumptions and make recommendations in a commercial setting.
• Degree-level education, ideally 2:1 or above, in a mathematically/statistically oriented subject.

Responsibilities

• Lead setting of central pricing bases and agree product terms across Unum’s products.
• Own pricing reviews, experience investigations, and recommendations for pricing changes.
• Monitor risk trends, rates, expenses and capital costs to adjust pricing as needed.
• Prepare reports and present recommendations to senior governance groups.
