Markel Corporation in London is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to support the UK portfolio with actuarial insight across reserving, pricing, and portfolio management. You will work closely with senior stakeholders in a highly visible role, with hybrid working flexibility and travel to UK offices as needed.

Competenze

• Ability to engage senior stakeholders and form effective relationships with stakeholders, including Finance, Underwriting, Capital etc.
• Ability to work well within a team, including prioritising your workload and supporting the team when needed.
• Be proficient in a wider variety of actuarial subject areas relating to both pricing and reserving fields.
• Have experience of engaging with senior underwriters in delivering results, running technical projects to produce analyses for portfolio management and presenting at formal meetings with senior management.
• Have experience in the actuarial elements of business planning and parameterisation of underwriting and reserve risk.
• Be present in the London office at least two days a week and be prepared to visit UK offices up to a few times a year.

Mansioni

• Provide strong technical and operational support to the product team supporting the Specialty and UK underwriting division.
• Maintain strong relations with the underwriting teams within the UK division, with key responsibilities in pricing and reserving activities.
• This will include large account pricing, pricing tool validation and reserving, as well as planning and capital model parameterisation.
• Own various core processes to produce deliverables for external purposes.
• Provide assistance to the wider Markel International Actuarial team.
