Job summary

Munich Re UK Life is seeking a senior actuary to lead Basis Development for Protection and Longevity, delivering pricing bases and biometric elements for new propositions. You will review existing bases, manage project scope, and collaborate with Risk Management and Underwriting to obtain sign-off.

The role requires a qualified actuary with strong analytical and leadership skills, capable of mentoring colleagues and translating complex data into clear strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of Basis Development for Protection and Longevity.
• Review Terms of Trade and develop pricing bases and biometric elements.
• Scope, plan, and manage initiatives from start to finish.
• Direct and develop junior team members and share knowledge.
• Collaborate with Risk Management and Corporate Underwriting for sign-off.
• Stay updated on market developments and communicate findings.
