Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical findings into practical business insights.
• Experience with actuarial and data tools (ResQ, Excel, MRD; SQL/Python/Alteryx preferred).

Responsibilities

• Reserving operationalization: quarterly close, reporting, and Reserve Committee materials.
• Assist in ResQ/MRD development, support, and testing.
• Support embedded margin roll-off methodologies development and implementation.
• Reserve transformation and process improvement across Markel to standardize Reserving processes.
• Develop and maintain reserving analytics tools and visualization for stakeholders.
