The opportunity: You will join a team of 33 actuarial professionals providing support to Markel's International organisation across multiple geographical locations. While the team is primarily based in London, it operates flexibly across remote and office locations and works closely with colleagues across the business, including teams in the US and other global offices. We travel as required, particularly for office visits and conferences (both internally and externally).
We are seeking a skilled Senior Actuarial Analyst to join a growing actuarial group assisting the UK business. This is a broad and highly visible role offering ownership of actuarial analysis across a diverse portfolio of products, including Professional Indemnity, Property, Social Care and specialist Legal Expenses lines. Working closely with senior team members, you will have a key role in quarterly reserving activities. You will also support pricing initiatives and wider business projects. The role offers significant exposure to a varied and evolving book of business, making it an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded actuary looking to broaden your technical expertise, influence decision‑making, and accelerate your career development within a collaborative team environment.
