Job summary

ICAEW West London practice is seeking an Accounts Manager to join their close-knit team and support a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, handling accounts production, personal tax compliance and advisory work.

You will review year‑end statutory accounts, manage client relationships as main contact, and work alongside Partners on business development; ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent experience preferred in a small firm environment.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified (or qualified by experience).
• Experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and personal tax.
• Experience managing a client portfolio.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working within a small, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of SME and owner‑managed business clients.
• Reviewing year‑end statutory accounts prepared by junior team members.
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns for directors and sole traders.
• Providing tax planning and advisory support to clients.
• Managing day‑to‑day client relationships and acting as the main point of contact.
• Supporting the Partners with business development opportunities.
• Supervising, mentoring and developing junior staff.
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
