Job summary

Aether Recruitment is helping a leading Chartered Accountants firm in Central London hire an ACA or ACCA qualified manager with extensive UK practice experience. The role focuses on managing a year-end accounts team and delivering service to high-profile clients across health & beauty, tech, media and HNWI sectors.

Are you ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 3 years post-qualified experience?

Would you like to help with the management of a year-end accounts team at a growing and successful firm?

Our client is a leading firm of Chartered Accountants based in a prime Central London location. Following a strong period of growth, they would like to take on an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant.

The firm provides accountancy services to high profile clients across a range of sectors including: health & beauty, tech, media, entertainment and HNWIs.

Your responsibilities as Manager will include:

• Planning workflow for the team
• Reviewing statutory year-end accounts prepared by juniors
• Preparing statutory year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and consolidated accounts for groups
• Reviewing VAT returns
• Preparing corporation tax returns
• Assisting clients with day to day queries
• Ad hoc project work

The ideal candidate will already be working as a Manager at an established firm. We are also happy to consider candidates who are currently working at Assistant Manager / Supervisor level. You will be looking for a client‑facing role working with an exciting client base and have great opportunities for progression.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must:

• Be ACCA / ACA qualified with at least 3 years post-qualified experience
• Have a minimum of 6 years experience at a UK accountancy firm
• Have extensive experience of preparing/reviewing year end accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105
