Job summary

ICAEW in the Black Country is seeking a versatile accountant who can split time between audit and accounts depending on your strengths. The role offers flexibility: about 80% audit and 20% accounts for those audit-focused, or full accounts and tax support for those preferring portfolios.

You'll work with owner-managed businesses, build strong client relationships, and be supported by experienced Directors to develop your career and grow within the role.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years' practice experience.
• Strong technical and communication skills will be required.
• Proactive attitude and desire to progress your career.

Responsibilities

• There is flexibility in this role - whether you want to be more focused on audit or more focused on accounts - dependent on your skill-set.
• If you're more audit oriented, you'll spend around 80% of your time dedicated to audit and 20% spent preparing accounts and drafting tax computations.
• If you prefer accounts and tax work, the role can be fully focused on managing a client portfolio and supporting with accounts preparation, reviewing the work of more junior members of the team and undertaking tax work.
