Job summary

Affinia is seeking a Manager in the Accounts team to lead delivery of high‑quality accounting services for a diverse client base across the UK. You will oversee planning, execution, and review of complex assignments, coaching junior staff and driving performance and development.

You will act as a main client contact, identify advisory opportunities, and contribute to departmental strategy. Strong UK GAAP knowledge, excellent communication, and a proactive, commercial mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification (fully qualified).
• 5+ years' experience in a UK accountancy practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients across industries, delivering statutory accounts, management reports, VAT returns and other services.
• Plan, allocate, and monitor assignments, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Review complex accounts and tax computations, providing feedback and resolving queries.
• Lead and develop a team of Assistant Managers, Seniors, and Trainees.
• Maintain key client relationships and identify opportunities for advisory services.
