Job Opportunity: Senior Accounts Assistant

Involve Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd is working with a privately owned manufacturer to recruit a Permanent Senior Accounts Assistant.

Key Details:

• Salary: £30,000 to £33,000
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
• Immediate start preferred

Requirements:

• Experience with SAGE and XERO
• Part-qualification or working towards ACA/ACCA/CTA/CIMA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ownership of Sales Ledger
• Supplier management and payments
• General reporting as required
• Bank reconciliations
• Knowledge of stock control
• Handling financial queries
• Budget and cash flow monitoring/forecasting
• Weekly debtors, creditors, and cash flow forecasting
• Preparation of monthly profit & loss statements and balance sheets
• Financial report management
• Quarterly VAT return preparation and review
• Year-end preparation
• Payroll data collation
• Liaising with pension providers and updating pension records, including auto-enrollment and online reporting to HMRC

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar finance or accounts assistant role
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Sage, or Xero

Additional preferences:

• Supporting a Financial Controller experience
• Ability to start ASAP
