Job summary

Regional Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Accountant for a Leicester-based practice. This full-time, permanent role offers the chance to work with a varied client portfolio and contribute to year-end and VAT work.

You must be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA preferred; AAT considered with solid practice experience) with at least 2 years in practice, strong technical knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA preferred; AAT considered with strong practice experience)
• Minimum 2 years' experience working within an accountancy practice
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practice-based accounting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
• Complete year-end accounts and financial statements
• Prepare and review VAT returns and other statutory submissions
• Provide clients with accounting advice and support
• Liaise directly with clients to understand their requirements and resolve queries
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and within deadlines
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and legislation
• Support the wider practice team with accounting and client-related duties
