Job summary

CMR Jobs Limited in Lancashire is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing practice known for client care and staff development.

You will manage your own SME client portfolio, prepare year-end accounts, VAT returns, and tax returns, and support clients with Xero, Sage and QuickBooks while delivering a high level of service.

This role offers direct client contact, progression opportunities, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in UK accountancy practice.
• Confident preparing accounts for a range of SME clients.
• Good working knowledge of VAT and bookkeeping.
• AAT qualification or ACCA/ACA part-qualified or qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Personable, organised and client-facing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Produce VAT returns, management accounts and tax returns.
• Manage your own portfolio of clients and be their main contact.
• Support clients with cloud software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.

What we're looking for
