Job summary

Clark Wood are working with a well-established Dundee accountancy practice to recruit a Senior Accountant. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, prepare statutory and management accounts, and provide commercial financial forecasts.

In addition, you will oversee VAT compliance, review work for juniors, and build strong client relationships. ACA/ACCA qualified (or by experience) and experience with IRIS, Sage or Xero is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
• ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
• Strong accounts preparation and client management experience.
• Experience using IRIS, Sage or Xero would be advantageous.
• Confident communicating directly with clients.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact.
• Preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and financial forecasts.
• Overseeing VAT compliance and associated reporting requirements
• Providing clients with practical accounting advice and software recommendations.
• Reviewing work prepared by junior members of the team and supporting their development.
• Assisting with ad hoc projects and financial analysis.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
