Job summary

Clark Wood in Workington is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to lead and develop the accounts team within a growing practice. You will take responsibility for a varied client portfolio and guide the team to deliver quality accounts work.

Key duties include managing a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, overseeing accounts preparation, and driving client relationships while supporting department growth and career progression.

Qualifications

• Strong UK accountancy practice experience.
• ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
• Strong technical accounts knowledge.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Organised, proactive and confident managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Oversee accounts preparation and compliance work.
• Manage, motivate and develop the accounts team.
